Houston’s Junior League was founded in 1925 by twelve forward-thinking women (twenty-four years after the country’s first Junior League was founded in NYC). Its mission continues to be one of outreach through trained volunteers with a focus on service to and financial support of the community.

The Junior League of Houston is a sort of volunteer “boot camp” for young women wanting to improve communities through effective action and leadership.

Views of the volunteers in action along with intimate interviews of its members bring insight and celebration to this long-standing organization in this video.
